The Dragonlords

The Dragonlords were feared amongst the residents of Akeroth. Many trained under the might of dragons but they went on to cause nothing but destruction and chaos within Akeroth, until the First Dragonlord Aurelius, chose to stand above all. As the only Dragonlord blessed by Valethar he stripped every Dragonlord of their power, draining their souls into himself.
This was no easy feat and he did not survive the process. As his soul was raised into the Hall of Champions, he realized that he left one Dragonlord. Edorat, the Lesser. As Edorat sat in the High Temple awaiting his rebirth he was spoken to by the Darkest of Dragons, Ar-Seid. He offered him a single thing. An Elder Stone blessed upon him. After the shadows circled and Ar-Seid returned to his home, it is said that the lone Dragonlord sits in the temple awaiting his Dragon's return.

History

In the ancient times of the Dragons, before humans came in droves, there were people who had studied Draconic Magic and studied the Language of the Draconic, they were known as either the Draconic Mages or The Dragon Lords. They drew their power and strength from their dragons. On the day of their rebirth, they will be marked either on their hand or another part of their body per se their forehead, chest, or legs. This gives them access to their Dragon's magic and might.
A Dragon Lord that does the bidding of their chosen Elder Dragon, will have might and power beyond most others. To use the magic, you can use either the Language of the elves, or you can use the Language of the Dragons. There are many incantations for the dragon's power. There are even some dragon lords that are born of a Dragon and a Human these are Hybrid Dragon Lords, and they can use strong dragon magic.
