Aketha

Aketha is a new fantasy world for D&D campaigns. It is meant to be a melting pot of all sorts of fantasy styles, including elements from Greek, English, and other mythologies, as well as some ideas from such fantasy authors as J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. It is a world full of adventure and invention where anything can happen.   The main inhabitants are, of course, humans, elves, and dwarves, but there are many other races, other prominent sects include dragonborn, gnomes, half-elves, and halflings.   Magic is prominent in Aketha, but in some areas so is invention. Two nations, Adren and Xidian, focus more on industrial advancement than the arcane arts, some even consider magic to be a primitive practice.   Being a world of magic; deities, demons, and angels are all powerful forces that influence the peoples and drive them to go to war, to explore, and to harness magic. However, while the influence of these beings is quite prominent, the entities themselves are distant, to the point that some believe there are no gods, that they have been left to their own devices by an indifferent universe.
