Songs of the Southern Ports
Across Aketi, many different sorts of tunes are sung... this is a collection of songs of the south eastern port cities, known by sailors, docksmen, and all who touch the sea. Bards sometimes bring the songs north, singing tales of pirates and mighty sea creatures in riverside taverns up the Rinnavren to eager audiences hanging on every word of adventure and bravery.
Often bawdy, sometimes sad, these songs of the sea all have one thing in common - they make for a great time over a few pints of ale with some friends.
Pointed ear lass With skin so soft and eyes so bright She can keep your bed all the night Nothing like a wild girl to bring your soul alight If you wanna get my lass I’ll fight With hair so fine and hands so small The pointed ear lass takes them all One little smile and your heart will fall Spirit taken in her bright shawl Elven girls, oh those elven girls Any man in port has a pointed ear lass he’s a lucky churl Elven girls, oh those elven girls Every man who’s held a pointed ear lass knows they’re the world If you must what a way to go Captured by the elven maid’s bow Looking for a ride then look no more She’ll take your heart and go Next port in you’ll look for the maid Looking all the places you both laid But despite how you look she’s gone away As she does your heart fades Elven girls, oh those elven girls Any man in port has a pointed ear lass he’s a lucky churl Elven girls, oh those elven girls Every man who’s held a pointed ear lass knows they’re the world With skin so soft and eyes so bright Another elven maid catches your sight Nothing like a wild girl to bring your soul alight Beware the pointed ear lass So every man has learned his tune And learned it once more Beware the pretty little pointed ear lasses ...Though we all go back for more!

"...at some point Alyona leaps onto a table and drags Kei up after, creating a bit of a makeshift stage. The crowd loves them, joining in on choruses and banging mugs along with the music. Darragh seems to enjoy both the music and the definitive increase in people buying drinks. After a bit Callistaal goes upstairs, and comes back down in a much more casual, flowing light dress which nicely shows off her folded wings. Finding Vota in the crush, the two begin to bus tables and try to keep up with the growing crowd's calls for more ale.
Between Kei’s mastery of the banjo and Alyona’s endless reserve of sea shanties, they keep the place alive deep into the night with music and song and laughter, staving away the darkness and worries outside for a just a few minutes longer."
