The Great Divide refers to the time when the elves were polarized on whether to leave their ancestral home or remain. During this time, the elves were divided into two factions: those who wanted to stay and those who wanted to leave. The division was a result of a disagreement over leadership and the future of their people. This division resulted in two factions that were at odds with each other, and a great deal of conflict arose between them. In the end, the division between the factions led to a separation of the people, with some elves remaining in their ancestral home and others moving away to find new lands.
