The dwarves that stayed happily in the Drumwind hills burrowed deep into those mineral-rich earthmounds, while simultaneously farming the rolling hilltops for hops and barley. Their capital, Burrowdale, started as a series of mining operations and grew into a fantastically celebrated rest stop for weary travelers.
The burwyn are bombastic firework crafters and hearty brewmasters. They love to drink and make things explode. Always willing to entertain, the burwyn are often underestimated in their strength and resilience. Quickly they can turn hot-headed and explode into violence, if provoked. For this readiness to fight and defend, they are favored allies of the Athyrians and help protect the eastern border of the realm.
Rumwater Falls and the Whisperwine River are both waters saturated in dangerous levels of alcohol, which the burwyn brewmasters filter with their craft into the finest drinks in all the realm.
