Syldaer

After abandoning Finias, their city of spiraling white towers and bejeweled edifices, the syldaer moved eastward, towards the ever sunny deserts of East Turiak. They favored the golden sands and crystal seashores as their new home. There they rebuilt and reinvigorated their research into magica, particularly lightbending.
For this reason, their diviners are isolated, their enchanters indulgent and their priests haughty. As with any title using the slang "elf" - the term 'high elf' is not meant to be complimentary. Despite this sometimes elitist reputation, the syldaer are ingenious in their pursuit of knowledge and truth. They do believe that the Truth is the Light, and therefore have powerful lightbenders and a resilient paladinhood.
