The Signing of the Embershroud Charter

Founding

With the signing of the Embershroud Charter, Aurich Stovkin, his family and house guard, and all future captured Sparks are exiled to Akratia to explore and exploit the ancient continent.

After the return of the Stovkin Expedition, Aurich and his holdings were put under house arrest by the Sovereign Court for defying Sovereign Law. In the culmination of three months effort, Aurich spent every last bit of political clout and financial capital his family held to convince the Court to allow him to found a chartered Company for the exploration and exploitation of Akratia. Signed into law on the last day of 1018, the Embershroud Charter gave Aurich six months to leave the Sovereign Isles for good, and included language for the future exile of all found Sparks
