Session Four: From Ogres to Owl Bears: A Perilous Journey

General Summary

These are my notes from the session.

• Woke up to the TP circle activating and weird warrior and Dilly Milly came out.
• Tornar got helm and spear. Helm permanently attached.
• Scouted out and saw a small group of ogres riding giant hyenas. Cammie hopped on Tornars back and disguised them as such and led them away from the camp.
• Ricky finds 6 doses of a red crystal like substance in a hollowed out stump. He snorts it.
• They see 3 owl bear cubs on the edge of camp playing.
• Scary Brandon grabs a dose of the drug, runs up a tree, sees the mama owl bear watching the cubs, snorts the drugs, jumps down and attacks the owl bear. All without alerting the party. He gets a few licks in and drops in the second round. The rest of the party comes and kills the owl bear.
• Ricky, Brandon, and Tornar each adopt one owl bear.
• They make it back to Meletis.
• Tornar sells his cub at an animal supply shop.
• Ricky finds out that Houndrock is the best place to pen the remaining two owl bears.
• Turn in quest with Qytoa and get the bronze badge of the Golden Gauntlet. This gives them free food and lodging in the barracks.
• They are also told of a new base camp on the road north of the city.
• Ricky sees a drug deal go down and follows said drug dealer. He sneaks in and steals his drugs then waits for him to wake up. He thinks the other druggy stole his drugs so he goes there and kills him. Ricky then incapacitates the dealer to get more intel on how he got the drugs. This particular drug is a fine purple powder.
• Ricky learns of a dead drop site outside of the city walls.
• They go to the barracks and buddy confiscates one dose of the red drugs, but tells them it is called Red Ice.
• They make it to the base camp just north of town and there they meet Captain Aric and the scout Liren, the last surviving member of the scouting party from the camp where they killed the dragon.
• They learn that Wolfspire, Brittlepeak, and now Castlewatch have fallen. Knightfrost is holding its own but cut off. There has been no word from Angelborn.
• They hear that there is an army of undead marching toward Houndrock from the NW, they assume Angleborn has fallen too.
• Captain Aric tells them that if they help aid in this battle against the fight against the undead, he will promote them to Crusaders of the Radiant Flame.
