Happy Moss, a blue/green moss that grows on trees in a small grove somewhere between Pisani and Sorrow's Harbour. Controlled by the capital, Happy Moss is harvested for it's abilities to aid in medical treatment and pain management. Foragers employed by the capital are sent out over a few weeks to collect and package the moss to ship back and then to be distributed throughout Portian Hospitals.
Recently though, Happy Moss has become a narcotic for those who can afford it. Becoming addictive when used consistently, the rich will do almost anything they can to keep their hands on a steady supply. Going as far as to hire bandits and thugs to ambush caravans, attack foragers or raid hospitals and medical centres.
The tree grove this moss grows in is always heavily monitored and the trees counted and monitored to make sure the moss doesn't leave the grove. Many have tried to steal cuttings of these trees, and it's considered if someone ever could get one, they'd become one of the richest people in Vel Porita.
