Mahkuniki
A diminutive and nomadic people who inhabit the Shirani Forest Forest. Standing only 2-3 ft. tall, the Mahkuniki have survived through the centuries hiding from larger folk and remaining largely unknown to outsiders. They have a clan structure, are matrilineal, and are known to have a totemic organization. For example, the Underwoods identify with newts, and they wear a newt pin or some other icon to identify themselves. The Gorbesheni (wildcats) and Gawzal (gazelle) are two other clans known from lands further East.
