Hydronach

Hydronachs are a more common sight for sailors and sea-faring merchants though these variations of normal Gronachs can be found in freshwater lakes and rivers as well. Just like their land-dwelling neighbors, they pull energy from the environment around them to heal themselves though, unlike Gronachs, they can also use the energy for offense. It’s a good sign you’ve wondered into the territory of some Hydronachs if you see ice spikes impaled into trees, slowing melting away. These creatures are able to live their entire lives underwater and make their homes in underwater caves. Another difference between Gronachs and Hydronachs is that these watery creatures are only weakened if pulled or lured from the bodies of water they reside. This is a difficult task but some hunters have their trade secrets.
