The Grove of Blooms

The Grove of Blooms exists on the outskirts of Waystead about 10 miles to the east of town. It was recently ravaged by a noble family but has since come back to prominence thanks to the work of the arch-druid, Morgoth. This druid circle focuses on both the circles of land and the cultivation of spores. Because of this, the village has an over-abundance of molds, lichens, and blooming mushrooms.

History

50 years ago during a "mithral rush" within the town of Waystead, the noble house known as the Cindercrests destroyed the Grove in an attempt to silence them and prevent them from interfering with their mining operations. The Grove knew the horror that would be released but the nobles wouldn't listen and were only interested in the wealth that the mine gave them. With the druidic circle unable to protect the city from the imbalance caused within nature, a being was awoken by the imbalance known as a duragh. Morgoth was awoken from a spider's venom by some adventurers though and was able to prevent the duragh from causing too much harm to the innocent people of Waystead
