Session 1 Report

General Summary

Part One: The First Go Around

The party first woke up in a tavern in Direport. They counted their loot from their previously finished job. They were also given a note from Queen Marai of Bratha. (See below).

Firmore

Following this they made their way to Firmore where they met Hoffhassel, a small gnome, who ran the shop the Brewer's Bazar. Hoffhassel informed the party that there were supply issues on potion ingredients due to attacks by humanoids being comitted in the Bloomgrave Forest. He offered Aladdin and Necros a deal on potions (5GP per potion) if they returned with some ingredients (Frost Lotus and Ice Thorns)
Lucie and Fipshun went to Wish You Were Gear, an armory staffed by a half orc women. She was unable to repair magic items and recommended that the party look for somewhere in Osrird.

Oakenwood

The party then departed south towards Oakenwood and arrived safetly. They spent the night at The Royal Stump inn and the next morning went to meet the lumberjacks and figure out what was happening. They met Amish Treesight, who told them where the most recentg attack was and told the party that they were happening predominately at nightfall. The party was led to the most recent attack site by Vander Fayless, where he told the party that there was a sword left after the last attack. The party found many sets of tracks, signs of a large scuffle and many broken branches. The party, after not finding a clear path to follow, decided to lay in wait for the enemy. After many hours they were set upon by a larged cloacked figure that floated above the ground. The figure unleased a black necrotic energy that wiped out the party.

Part Two: The Do-Over?

The party reawakened in the tavern of Direport, with all of their items (including those they had purchased). They quickly rushed straight back to the site of the attack, arriving a day earlier. There they found their dead bodies, with blakc ooze running from their mouths, eyes and ears. The party found a note (see below) and successfully deciphered that the symbol on it. They discovered that it was a fairly well known cult dedicated to returing the sealed away Gods. Finally a group of hobgoblins attacked the party and were summarily slaughtered.

Note from Queen Marai

Dear Adventurers, I’m writing to you about a matter of the utmost importance. There has been a recent spree of attacks on the lumberers at the western side of the Bloomgrave Forest. Please investigate and remedy the situation immediately. Following your success, I invite you to join me at the palace in Osrird so that we may discuss matters of great importance.
