Age of Stones

The Age of Stones is the first age that is accepted widely by scholars. It is universally accepted that the Age of Stones began nearly 8000 years before the current year. The Age of Stones is commonly abbreviated to "AS" in writing. This age was the first occurance of many of the races today. The god, Illiean, the Stonecarver created the first races from great blocks of granite.
The Age of Stones happened before the advent of common. Therefore the people then communicated exclusively in Endomic, because it was the language of the gods. In those days, few cities existed and magic had barely been developed. The people then had not fully learned to control Endomic, therefore the power they displayed was primal and elemental.
Little is known of the happenings during the Age of Stones, we have a few written records etched into stone, but paper has a tendency to decay.
