Grand Duchy of Albris

The Grand Duchy of Albris is the most powerful state in the north of Ethros. In large part, the kingdom is content to seclude itself and gather its strength. Albris was once an elven ruled kingdom, but as the elven family married out, their population dwindled. The rulers of Albris still have unnaturally long lives (considering they're humans), but don't have the lifespan of elves.
Albris is an important bastion against the lawless groups that exist to the far east. Albris has a very proud military history. The dominant military force in Albris is the Northern Guard, who've patrolled the borders this last century. They are ruled by Grand Duke Olwen Emmon IV.
