Sovos

Sovos is regarded by the Order of Scholars to be the centerplace of the cultural revolution that has been the focus of the last few decades of Ethrosian history. Many of the greatest innovations of the day have been made within the walls of Sovos, and even before the current era, Sovos served an essential role in the structuring of the world.

Institutions

Presently, some of the best institutions for higher learning and study can be found here. Sovos is a city that was entirely built by magic, consequently great sums of money are donated by gratuated alumni of Zoldar Han's Univeristy for the Arcane.

International Governance

Sovos is also the seat of the international community and is the home of to the Master of Assembalies, Syrio Grachan. Many other ambassadors also live at either the official apartments provided, or more private residences.

City Governance

The city of Sovos is a complex city that is deeply rooted in the histories and magic surround its founding. These days the city is ruled by the Seamaster, in times past it would be ruled by the headmaster of the university. The current Seamaster is Harfur Mohpatis and he serves in the role for 8 years.
There are many other officials. Many of them exist only in a ceremonial capacity or they exist for the observance of certain holidays. Each gate has a lord who manages the commerce that passes within the gate. This affords these individuals a great deal of power and political influence to exert on the residents surrounding each gate. Competitions with other gates are frequent and ruthless. Politics in Sovos have a repuation for being cutthroat.
