History And Background

The Red Sisters of Trik'thalar are an organization of assassins best known for being utterly rutheless, brutally efficient killers. A prerequisite to being a sister is being cursed with vampirism. This makes the members of this circle extremely hostile towards outsiders and experts at performing night-strikes. In the mountains to the far West is the rumored tomb of Trik-thalar, who is recorded as being the first vampire. Any vampire now can trace their curse back to him. His tomb was sealed during a cave-in, 1250 years ago. There have been groups who've sought to excavate the site, but the Dwarves are the only ones capable of this feat. Due to their supersitious nature, no Dwarf is willing to excavate at the site.
Finding the Red Sisters is very difficult for any outsider, not versed in the criminal underworld. It is verified that their hideouts can be identified by blood rune markings, although seekers are encouraged to knock on the door at their own peril.
