The Steplands

The Steplands are sets of highland hills that exist within the Ornian Marches. The area is largely empty of large settlements due to the emptiness of the area. But it isn't uncommon to see pastoral nomads moving flocks of sheep across the lush slopes of the highland. Seasonally farmers take livestock to graze but other than that, almost nobody travels there asides from a train route that passes through.
