The Temple of Ivy Leaves

The Temple of Ivy Leaves also known as The Garden by some, is a large temple complex built into the hills of the present day Despotate of Enaria. For an unknown reason (often attributed to magic) the temple is blanketed year round by dark cloud cover. It is believed there is still a devout group of monks living at the temple but they are only seen in glimpses through the ivy.
The temple is overgrown with massive quantities of ivy, as suggested by the name. This is no doubt accentuated by the shade provided by the clouds. The temple is in various stages of disrepair and the only building to retain its original shape is the main temple structure. Dark painted clay rooftiles shield the roofs of the various outbuildings. Two centuries ago, the hillside used to be decorated with rice paddies desending from the temple. But nearly a century of dark speculation and events of high strangness has led to their abandonment. Some scholars theorize that the temple ground has been chosen by a darker god as an aspect site. While this is certainly possible, gods have not chosen sites such as this in nearly a millenium.
