Old Hill

Located on the top of one of the hills in the center of Alben it is a small isolated village of Albenites fallowing the ways of the Alrites who are the ancient people of the land. They live here in the small community away from civilization.

Demographics

The people of the community work together, there is usually an equal amount of males to females in the village at any given time. Most of the people are farmers or hunters.

Government

The village is run by a council of elders. These are the oldest of the communities, there are always at least seven people on the council. Usually they are all men and one woman, The Wise Woman who acts as tie breaker they get no vote in most decisions unless there is a tie in which they are the final vote.

History

There have always been settlements up on the hill lands, however when the Nelantus Crater was created many moved away from the area. However this settlement decided to stay and dig their heels in on old traditions.

Architecture

The town is made up of small buildings, mostly stone yet with wooden walls and roof. The style is simple yet effective, keeping the people warm enough in the cold winters, and study enough to withstand the snow and harsh weather.

Geography

The village lives on top of a plato in the hills. Surrounded by fields where crops in the imitate area, and forests farther out from the village.

Natural Resources

Their are a lot of farms around the area in which crops are grown, producing food for the village. Sheep, and goats are also kept near the town for wool, meat, and milk. Farther from the settlement are some small forests where the people gather wood and hunt animals for both fur and meat.
