Metallic Dragons

The metallic True Dragons, the good dragons, are the loyal liutenants of Bahamut.
There is a hierarchy among the metals, but they are all on the same side, and tend to be friendly with one another, unless something happens. Golds are the undisputed leaders, followed by the silvers, the tacticitans. Bronze are the battlefield experts, and gather informations. Bronze and Copper are at the bottom of the hierarchy, but serve to help the other dragons in covering the earth. There are a couple other dragon types, but they are legendary, and even if they exist, there are no more than a dozen in total.
These dragons tend to spend much of their tiem in non-draconic form. They enjoy testing various humanoids to see if they are truly good. Woe betide any that do not meet their test.
As epitomes of good, they always help those that are weaker than themselves.

Conservation Status

There are around 1700 metallic dragons older than young adult left. New ones are born frequently, but few survive the onslaught of evil that greets them. They are the ultimate embodiment of good beyond a celestial, and as wyrmlings are easy targets, so they are frequently taken as trophies.
