Aasimar

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Concordia. Assimar do not herald from any particular area of the continent and small numbers can be found in most areas of civilisation. Being one of the plane-touched races, much of the population view aasimar as outsiders not to be trusted. That said, this is less prevalent than it is with tieflings (with their infernal heritage) and genasi (with their elemental heritage). Aasmiar have greater opportunities within society, with many capitalising on their celestial heritage to gain positions in places of worship or as healers. However, due their plane-touched nature, many still prefer a more nomadic lifestyle, choosing to travel across the continent rather than settling for the professions society deems them worthy of.

Civilization and Culture

History

Aasimar are powerful mortal who either descend from celestial beings or are infused with heavenly power in some way. Due to this origin, they come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with most races having aasimar born from them. This has lead to people referring to them (along with other races which manifest in this way) as 'plane-touched'.   Aasimar were originally created to help combat The Destroyer Gods when they began to exert their influence on the world. They are the rarest of the plane-touched races, but can still be found across the entire world where they are typically held in high regard as heralds of angelic beings or the prophets of gods. Despite this perception, not all aasimar follow this presumed destiny, with many preferring to forge their own path.
