Argent Oak comes from the heartwood of its namesake tree. It has a white, almost-silvery-metallic appearance and glows faintly in moonlight.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Weapons made from Argent Oak have the same properties as those made or coated with silver. Additionally, they emit dim light in a 10ft. radius while in the presence of moonlight.

History & Usage

History

Argent Oak come from trees of the same name, which grow in the city of Shawcross. They are cultivated there by The Church of the Moonweaver in a dedicated garden and are used to creature weapons to combat the spread of lycanthrope the region has been plagued with, which has been exacerbated by the province's lack of silver mines.
In recent years, the material has become a favorite within The Crimson Consortium to make weapons for their blood hunters.

Discovery

The first argent oak trees came from divine intervention from The Moonweaver herself. Patrons of her church in Shawcross were attempting to combat a swath of lycanthropes attacks on the citizens of the city in the early years of the Era of Restoration when the first saplings began to grow in the church's garden. With the aid of druidic magic, these were carefully cultivated as their growth was accelerated and now they are tended to by the church's gardeners.

Distribution

Trade & Market

Due to the scarcity of the material and its recent rise in popularity with The Crimson Consortium, it is very difficult to obtain Argent Oak directly from its source. Only a handful of places are authorised by the Church of The Moonweaver to create items from it, and only a select few of those items are avaible to the public. Argent Oak items are available to purchase second hand however within Shawcross, though outside of the city they are rare to find, likely due to the lack of demand.
