Ecology and Habitats

Concordia. There are a small number of areas where changelings can be found in decent numbers, most notably The Mothertree at the heart of the continent. Outside of these, the race is incredibly rare. Those that do leave the vicinity of fey portals tend to find their way to large cities like Easthaven and Wesdale. Changelings who live close to fey portals typically have their identities known by those around them and are more willing to show their true faces. Outside of these places, individual changelings make those choices for themselves, with those who hide it blending in seamlessly with the population, while those who do not stand out more for better or for worse.

Civilization and Culture

History

Changelings originate from The Feywild, as such they are incredible rare in the world, typically only appearing close to portals to that realm. For the longest time, changelings were largely unknown because they are very careful with who they show their true faces to. Some changelings wouldn't be discovered until their death, when they naturally revert back to this form. These days, they are a known quantity, typically found close to Feywild portals alongside high elves and other fey creatures, though still a very rare sight outside of these settlings.
