Ecology and Habitats

Concordia. Dragonborn of all varieties (chromatic, gem and metallic) exist on in Concrodia, though gem dragonborn are by far the rarest, drawing eyes where they travel. Though a clan’s members often find themselves spread across Concordia’s various provinces, each has an elder and an estate which acts as the clan’s home should they ever need to come together. A clan’s elder generally has a good understanding of the actions and locations of other clan members.

History

Dragonborn have perhaps the most mysterious origin of all the races as nothing is truly know about it and the theories surround them are hard to comprehend, often raising even more questions. Some believe the first dragonborn were hatched from eggs placed onto the plane by the Dragon-God, Tiamat, to act as servants of her will; others believe they began life as dragon lineages who were cursed to live among humans for unimaginable crimes; and some simply think they are the result of a lustful reptilian and a cocky bard.
Whatever their origins, dragonborn are an incredibly proud race. Each dragonborn belongs to a clan, each colour of dragonborn having only a handful of clans attached to it, to which they are incredibly devoted. Members of clans are free to pursue their own life as they see fit, but if the clan should ever need them, they are expected to return without hesitation. Dishonouring the clan can quickly lead to exile and, in some cases, death. This mind-set makes dragonborn fiercely loyal allies, but also cold and vengeful enemies.
