Gnome

Basic Information

Ecology and Habitats

Concordia. On the continent, gnomes are seen to halflings the same as elves are seen to humans. They are viewed as incredibly whimsical and creative, with very few people having a bad word to say about the gnomes as a race. The rock gnomes made their homes in some of the most unlikely places, the most notable of which being The Karstmore, located off the western shore of Wesdale. They pride themselves in inventing new and wondrous creations and many believe it is the rock gnomes of Concordia which will one day rediscover the pre-confluence, lost technology, not the humans. Rock gnomes are also the most common of the sub-races to be found mingling with society, with many believing they’ll be able to come up with greater and more elaborate discoveries through exposure to other cultures and ideas. Forest Gnomes on the other hand live in the more natural parts of the continents, most notably The Heartland Forest and The Wildwood, scarcity

Civilization and Culture

History

Little is known about the formative history of the gnomes. While races like the humans and dwarves all forged empires and waged terrible wars that devastated the land, the gnomes did nothing of the sort. Nor did gnomes have a known, original homeland like the elves. Throughout history, they were known as a scattered race of hidden villages, clans, and holds, rarely caught up in grand events.   The gnomes were sometimes referred to as the Forgotten Folk and this title is perhaps apt, and few of their race ever graced or troubled the mighty, instead remaining characters who faded, for the most part, into the background while others went on to forge mighty legends.
