The largest group of the reside in The Viresecent Canopy, however they have been spotted within The Vine Mire as well as The Menagerie Hills. The consensus among most civilised communities is to avoid them at all costs. Within The Menagerie Hills however, there are townships which accept individuals among them, albeit cautiously.

History

They yuan-ti were once human. In their early history, before they became as dominant in the world as they are now, Zehir, the Cloaked Serpent successfully exerted his influence onto groups of cultists it had drawn into worshiping it, bestowing them with a snake-like characteristics, creating the first yuan-ti. Since attaining this transformation, the race has expanded through a mix of reproduction and transformation rituals forced onto captured slaves. They have spread fear across the parts of the world they inhabit over the following centuries and are widely avoided within civilised areas as a result.
