Excerpt taken from the war diaries of Découverte operative Aleydis Lake, Battle of the Red Sunrise, 10,434 GS/LM] The former Mortelle known most commonly as Magner Mallact has been around longer than we thought. A mortal man of Saxon blood who wandered into the fey realm sometime after the time of Cathasach I. Though he managed to find his way back to his home realm he was bewitched by Anima and found his way back there, using his unique intellect and apparent natural aptitude to teach himself its magics - which he soon learned to twist to his will. Having learned the secret of the Uxores Mortis’ reincarnation cycle, he himself has been cheating death by waiting until what would be the end of his natural life to hide away and sleep, thus allowing his body to heal and replenish itself before emerging as a new entity.
