A spellsword is a multi-purpose finesse weapon which allows a martial caster to use both weapon and wand separately - and together. The hilt of all spellswords are retrofitted to allow a chosen caster to stow their wand within, turning their weapon into a spellcasting focus and freeing their offhand.

History

A distinguished duelist herself, Aleydis Lake found the primary/off-hand structure of carrying a wand and a weapon was often a detriment to her in a fight and sought a better solution to accommodate martial casters. After several prototypes and multiple experiments, the spellsword was created.
