Shrines, Chapels and Temples!

Concept and Written By James Woodwright
Shrines, Chapels and Temples are religious sites that are part of Willinghurst Cray as part of the The Ten Tigers Religon. From smallest to biggest are: Shrines, Chapels and finally Temples. Shrines are in peoples homes while the other two are buildings.

Shrines

Shrines are in peoples homes and generall get their own room and when they can't be they tend to be in the bedrooms of the seniors. They can be basic or more ornate depending on personal taste. With some using an empty crate as a table that can be knelt by while others commission their own tables especially. What is on this table are tiny tigers. Which are bronze tigers that hold the item of the bigger version. These tiny tigers are commisioned by Brownsmiths and often have the item that the tiger hold seperate so that the customer can click it into place themselves.. Typically three of the tigers are used as part of a shrine, these can be swapped out but must be gifted or even donated to other buildings. As to allow those not able to furnish or stock their shrine still can.

Chapels

Every place that is a town has a chapel. While having their own tigers this generally means only 8 of the 10 will on the inside to be prayed at and donations made. If they are not included then they will form the colomns of either side of the enterance to the building, if wishing to pray to them the prayer faces that tiger from within inside the chapel. Donations are often at the enterance as a person leaves the chapel.

Temples

Temples are regarded as something that makes a town a city, however like in our world in England this is not as easy as just building a temple there are multiple factors such as population or expected population as well as wishing to gain favour by the tigers. Unlike a chapel it is a Temple that has all ten contained within, with their donation boxes infront of them. Temples are the only building that are not 4 sides but rather 10 sided, but with the tigers at one end.

Purpose / Function

Chapels
Chapels have four sides and many columns the two columns at the front enterence are two of the tigers that could not be incorporated into the sanctum within the chapel.
Temples
Temples are a lot more differint having ten sides and having more grounds, each of the points of the ten sided shape have a strip of tarnished green copper strips running across a the grounds to the metal fence. All of the tigers are in the scantum with all the donation boxes in front of them.
