Maigan-Tor
The Labyrinth.
Volora’s realm is the greatest labyrinth the universe has ever known. When one first arrives in the Labyrinth, the step through a doorway that displays naught but light on the opposite side. When they step through they begin to climb a staircase which leads into a living series of staircase that pay no attention to the physics of the material world (think M.C. Escher). The soul quickly recognizes the puzzle inherent in the stairs and they begin to search for a way out, they attempt to thwart the puzzle. If the spirit is cunning enough, they will indeed find their way to a new door which in turn leads to a new physical puzzle for them to solve. For most mortals, this would seem to be tormenting but to the spirit in Volora’s realm, it is pleasing and engaging. There is not want of time, progress is consistently made, yet the soul is never satisfied with staying where they are. After enough levels of the labyrinth are conquered, the soul encounters one of Volora’s avatars (Seyi or Tergodo) who pours drink and engages in a verbal conundrum with the soul. If the soul is able to best the conundrum, they pass to Volora who whispers the secret of the universe in their ear. With that, the soul is transformed into a higher level creature serving at the behest of Volora (usually and Aasimon).
