Pre Ascension
Iluna and Argia were born as twins in a small, war-torn kingdom caught in the crossfire between rivaling empires. From a young age, the sisters exhibited extraordinary, opposing powers: Iluna could manipulate shadows and sow chaos, while Argia controlled light and brought order. Their village saw them as both a blessing and a curse, often blaming them for misfortunes while relying on their powers in times of need.
As they grew, the sisters became inseparable, each balancing the other’s extremes. Iluna was wild and rebellious, often getting into trouble and challenging authority. Argia, on the other hand, was calm and disciplined, always striving to keep her sister in check. Despite their differences, they were deeply bonded, understanding that one could not exist without the other.
During their teenage years, the sisters were caught in a devastating raid on their village. Desperate to protect the people they loved, they combined their powers in a last-ditch effort to fend off the attackers. This act unleashed a massive wave of chaotic light and shadow, annihilating both friend and foe alike. Horrified by the unintended destruction, they were forced to flee, becoming outcasts in a world that feared their power.
Wandering the wilderness, they encountered a mysterious figure known only as The Stranger, who saw in them the potential for something greater. The Stranger taught them to harness their abilities in harmony, pushing them to embrace the duality of their natures. Under her guidance, they learned that their powers were not a curse but a force of equilibrium that could shape reality itself.
Eventually, their journey brought them to the frontlines of the
Divine Coup , where gods clashed for control over the fate of the world. Seeing the imbalance that plagued the realm, Iluna and Argia fought side by side, using their combined strength to protect those caught in the crossfire and restore order amidst chaos. In recognition of their deeds, they were offered ascension, their mortal forms transcending to become the twin gods of equilibrium, forever bound to act in unison as keepers of balance in the pantheon of Aldatu.
Their legacy as mortals—one of destruction and redemption—became a testament to the power of unity, reminding all that even the most opposing forces can coexist.
