Prokymaía

Overview

Prokymaía - docks   It is a series of small islands that are connected by massive rope bridge systems and large dock systems, anchored into the bedrock below.   They are home to a large bank that stores all types of metal, and uses magic to prevent. Three major families and banks fight over control over the docks, but the control always seems to move back and forth.   They worship different gods, and the island is a pleuritic society, but hey all look at the gods in a way the main followers might not agree.   One Family is Elves, and they are very haughty.   One family is Human, and get districted by their own internal struggles.   One family is Dwarves. They put their least liked member as their leader, and though that means they never lead the group, they also avoid having to do much for the group.   Elven bankers are highly saught after and often move to work in vairous courts.

Prokymaía, meaning "docks," is a series of small interconnected islands in Minos, connected by intricate rope bridges and extensive dock systems anchored into the bedrock below. The islands are home to a large bank that stores all types of metal, protected by magic to prevent theft. Control of the docks constantly shifts between three major families, each vying for dominance, yet power is never held for long.
The society is pluralistic, with different gods worshiped in ways that might be unorthodox to traditional followers. Each family has its own distinct characteristics:
The Elven Family is aristocratic and proud, often securing elite banking positions in courts across the land.
The Human Family frequently falls into internal power struggles, weakening their grip on leadership.
The Dwarven Family avoids leadership by nominating their least liked member, ensuring minimal responsibility but maintaining influence without obligation.
Despite these dynamics, the Elven bankers are highly sought after for their skills, contributing to the reputation and importance of Prokymaía in the region.
