Zoi - life


An island city that is home to many races, with no clear majority. It is almost entirely residential. Food and a few good stores are around, but only just enough.
Temples abound, but none predatory.
Home to a magical energy ball that some view as a face of the gods. Magic users are known to come and pray or meditate here. The Keeper is elected from all the faiths of the island, selecting one priest to protect it.
Houses a portal to both Hell and the Celestial Plane.
Lead by an Elected Arbitor who serves as Head Magistrate. Sometime he will appoint another to assist him, and may do so.

There are a few wealthy families that control the ports, and a few more than control whole neighborhoods. Many rentals on the island are for pilgrims who come to see the magic ball. It is partially a resort island because of this. A handful of residences even double their houses or basements as restaurants and bars, though occupancy is kept very low.
The Magic Ball is called The Ataria.
Leonin Family that was once from a conquering army found the Ataria and decided to live a life of peace. they began protecting the shores and trading with merchants, eventually their fleet became a major part of supplying the island. They own many residences and control about a third of the port. Pryres Glowatcher founds the family dynasty on the island.
Halfling family that owns a bunch of rentals, aswell as kitchen restaurants and basement bars, founded by Kastran Mildmoon.

The Mildmoon Family: A prominent halfling family known for owning many rental properties, kitchen restaurants, and basement bars. Their influence lies in the hospitality and real estate sector, and they cater to the influx of pilgrims and tourists. The family was founded by Kastran Mildmoon.
