Ōkagǒu

Ōkagǒu, otherwise known as Dogfolk, are a race native to Aldebaran. Thought to have originated from the continent of Wom'lai, where the beast races are the majority of the population. Ever since the conquest of the Wrekuinao, small portions of Ōkagǒu can be found just about anywhere. Ōkagǒu are warriors, they love to fight. Most Ōkagǒu cannot receive an insult without retaliating in some way, and they can be very lethal when provoked. That is not to say they are crazed killers, rather they are very prideful and hold themselves to a certain honor. This honor and pride makes them very loyal allies that one can depend on when things get rough.
Ōkagǒu value friends and family above all else. Most are even willing to die for them. In the wars between the Teobik and the Wrekuinao, the majority of boths sides infantry would be the Ōkagǒu. One would expect their population density to be small due to their characteristics and almost suicidal behavior, but they tend to have extremely large families and are capable of breeding quickly. Nearly all Ōkagǒu are polygamous, but an individual Ōkagǒu will always remember and hear of any new additions to the family.
Ōkagǒu are a very religious race as well. Most follow the two war gods Karnassus and Vin Kon Junai, and the god of family known as Yis. There are some families who follow the third war god known as Doko, though they more often than not keep their affiliation to this god hidden. As with most beast races Hyakuuwuu is also respected, however only to the extent that the fox god is thought to be the original creator of the beast races.

Anatomy

Dogfolk tend to be larger than the average humanoid, males averaging out at 6'6 ft. They stand tall and straight with two arms, two legs, and a tail. Their fur color ranges. Some are pure white, others black, throw in mixes of gray and brown, sometimes they have spots, other times stripes, and more. They have large heads with a formidable set of jaws that are capable of inflicting lethal wounds. Their eye colors also vary wildly.
