Kephic Runes

Kephic runes, or more commonly Dwarven Numbers, is a numbering system used by the Dwarf people throughout much of history, and into the modern day. The system has evolved over time, with much more definitive icons for the numbers, but is has mostly remains unchanged. A modern scholar of Kephic could look at ancient carvings and read a number, albeit with some difficult in some of the oldest cases.

In the past the numbering system, adjacent to the alphabet was written vertically, beginning from the left. Today, like the Dwarf it is written horizontal from left to right. The dwarf people still write vertically when recording the date, out of tradition.

Each number 1-9 has a corisponding icon for its place in the number sequence. The table to the right shows these numbers and their placement icon. An example being 1971 would be written in Kephic as:
