Hopa Copa (HOPE ah COPE ah)
the Hidden Arm of the Salt Salt Sea
A large deep water bay on the south side of the Island of Uluru, Hopa Copa’s still waters and peaceful rocky shores have long been viewed by the Yin’feri as a sacred realm where the energies of creation seep into Aldern. A think mist clings to the waters in the colder months, while the summer months blend the skies with the sea, with only the thick green forest of the island breaking the blue.
During the spring and summer the bay is alive with Woyd’are ships sailing in and out of the bay, or resting lazily in the water. The seasonal hunts bring most of the elven population of Sereghal to the Island of Uluru.
The rocky northeastern shore of Hopa Copa is covered in sea caves, expanded by the Yin’feri to house the population during the hunting. The smell of meat and fish growing thicker as the season progresses. Smoke from burning unwanted parts of the beast billowing black out of holes above these caves.
During the winter months the waters of the bay are more dangerous with large sea predators that venture out to open waters during the summer migrate back to the deep bay for sheltering the harsh winters that ravish the Salt Salt Sea south of Uluru.
