Lady of Shadows

Once a prominent member of the Shimmer Throne, she was banished when it was discovered she planned to overthrow the queen and usurp the throne herself. She fled across the Prismatic Ocean to the Eastern shore of Eldora. Here she plotted her revenge. It is said that during her exile, she had approached by shade that offered her power beyond her wildest dreams. Desperate for revenge, she accepted the shade's offer and the Lady of Shadows was born. In dark corners of every city and forest, her power grew as did her followers, the Court of Shadows. Once she had amassed enough power, she cast a spell that threated to block out the sun, covering the world in eternal night.

If it wasn't for the Heroes of Dawn, she would have succeeded. Led by King Eldoran III, the three Heroes of Dawn defeated and imprisoned the Lady inside Eclipse tower. It wasn't without cost. In the final moments, Evanore released all the power she had stored and caused the entire tower to explode. Eldoran was gravely injured protecting his brother Symon, allowing him and Phira to cast the sealing spell. Symon paid the price for the spell and gave his life, while Phira was never seen again.

The spell required 3 magic stones to maintain the barrier. Without much time left, King Eldoran ordered one stone to be kept safe by the dwarves to the north while the second stone was to be kept by the elves to the East. The throne of Eldora would protect the final stone.

King Eldoran would never know if the stones made their journey. Once the order was given, he succumbed to his wounds, allowing his son, King Eldoran IV to take the throne.
