The Fey

The Fey aren't so much a race as an umbrella term referring to the natural denizens of a separate plane, The Feywild.   Fey creatures are quite diverse, but they can usually be identified through some combination of
  • A close connection to nature, and an often fierce motivation to protect it.
  • Magic that tends towards the chaotic, or at least the unpredictable.
  • Compelling magical effects that draw humans (and sometimes other creatures) under their sway.
  • A predisposition towards pranks, pratfalls, tricks, and japes as well as, more rarely, to actual Trickster behavior.
  • A tendency to move along the edges of human society, sometimes causing harm and sometimes giving succor.
  • Most Fey creatures are predisposed to one of the six Courts of the Fey, but may be found throughout all of The Feywild.   While travel from the material plane to The Feywild requires a Fey Bridge; many of the Fey themselves may move between those two planes at will.
