The world of
Alen'dal is a vast land with a rich history and diverse people groups. Long ago a number of oppressor races including the venomous yuan-ti, the horrific mindflayers, and the larger-than-life giants ruled the world and enslaved the "lesser" races.
All of that changed when the gods sent the metallic dragons into the world to bestow magic upon the oppressed and give them a means to forge a new destiny for themselves.
The slaves broke their shackles and threw down their masters, claiming the world for themselves and driving the monsters into hiding. But now, thousands of years later, the arcane spark that lit the flames of rebellion is slowly vanishing... and the monsters have begun to take notice.
But there is hope for the mortal races of the world. Technological advances are being made in leaps and bounds, and while it's no substitute for the magic that protected the people for thousands of years, some believe that, one day, it could be...
