Tea: Celarruhn's Favourite Brew
If there is one thing Celarruhn is known for, apart from the rich presence of arcana, it is its people's common love for tea. Enjoyed hot or cold, there are plenty of variations of flavour and brand to suit anyone's taste. What Celarruhn can't grow, it trades for, creating a vast tea network across the world. With a splash of magic stirred in, some teas can transport the senses, enhance or change moods, or even provide a cup of literal inspiration. Some claim that tea is worth fighting for, but fortunately there has not been even a hint of a war over it. Instead, it has a strong presence in all diplomatic dealings.
Offering a visitor a drink is considered the best way to show peaceful intent and welcome in Celarruhn. Not everyone will agree that tea is the ultimate welcoming beverage to serve, but with so many varieties of tea, it is one that is hard to get wrong. The tea-room in Queen Sayuri's Palace in Ellathas has been praised on many occassions, not for its extravagance, but for its suprisingly humble setting. Here, Queen Sayuri meets with dignitaries from across the world, discussing matters both small and large over a comforting cup of tea. Unsurprisingly, the Royal Tea Pantry has the largest selection in the country. Rumour has it that somewhere in the Palace is a record of every cup of tea that has been drunk, with notes of each dignitary's preferences - a document that can reflect the personalities of each depending on what they choose.
There is a particular blend of powerful arcane tea that can allow a person to connect briefly with the spiritual realm. This tea isn't so widely accepted as concerns have been raised over the affects it might have on drinkers. Cafes and tearooms don't openly advertise if they have a stock of Spirit Walker teas, but if you ask discreetly, a few might give you access to a secret and safe location to partake in the spiritual experience. First-timers visiting such establishments will be given an entrance word which can be used for a limited period of time, whereas regulars might have a different entrance to use or a more permanent method of identifying themselves.
The leaves of these teas undergo a careful process from the first sprouting, through its entire growth, and especially the harvesting and drying. This process is a secret that is well-guarded, preventing unqualified production and distribution of this powerful tea. The Spiritual Realm is not one that is dangerous, but to Travel there on a regular basis is sure to have side effects which are not recommended.

Come on in and have a cup of tea! What would you like? There's plenty to choose from; we've got Ocean Blossom, Starleaf, a few blends from Isha Mari - they sure don't hold back on the spice, Ballanor Breakfast, Jander Root...oh, and my personal favourite, Siskawa tea - it has such a stunning shimmer to it. We don't often share this with others, but we do have a selection of Spirit Walker teas too. Kari insists that we reserve those for experienced Walkers, so you'd have to talk to her if you want one of those. I'm sure there are others I've forgotten, so come and have a look for yourself...
