The illness is airborne, and extremely prevalent. It leeches into every part of your body, contaminating you inside and out, and spreads to anyone within a five foot radius of you (unless they happen to be immune).

Symptoms

Fever, long bouts of unconsciousness, hacking cough, pale skin, headaches, and vivid dreams.

Treatment

It's untreatable.

Prognosis

It's always fatal.

History

The two most recent cases occurred in 1966 and 1999. The first of the two took place in Yarrin and wiped out half the population before the infected exiled themselves to a cave in Lior to prevent it from spreading any further.
In 1999, Auburn Arun and Keiran Rin went exploring in the same cave and brought the disease back out with them. The only survivors were Crimson and Scarlet Arun, who were immune. It has yet to break out again.
