The Obyrith

The Obyrith are thought to be an eldritch race of demons so ancient that they predate mortal life, and even the existence of the old gods. Simply looking upon these bizarre manifestations are said to drive a mortal to the brink of insanity, and even the celestials are horrified by their presence. Legend has it that they lay in waiting, trapped in an alternate plane beyond the vail, and will one day breach the material plane and bring not but destruction in their path.
