Night of Masks

Celebrated for first major victory of the Orkan Rebellion over the tyrant god, The Night of Masks is celebration on the 4th night of Ma'Wryth. Wearing masks of all shapes and sizes the people crowed the streets and set fire to small ship effigies to invoke the image of the burning of the fleet of Rythonos by the rebellion. The burning is started by one wearing a replica of the mask of Markus the Wise. While small celebrations take part in all of Orkan, the largest ship burning takes place in the cities of Matusk, and the capital Corpse Hold. Matusk being the site of the historic burning of the fleet often builds small sloops just to burn for the celebration.
