Traveler, wander, wayfinder, and trader. All roles that Tryan wears like a cloak. But in each role, Tryan never harms, unless it is due. He messes up fate with "gifts" of luck, favoring those who are interesting. Halflings, his creation, wander with more gifts of luck then most folk. But luck will run out and it is up the person to carry on without it. Married to Mel'melorn, the Winds are their children. The protection of travelers is the shared domain with his wife, Mel'melorn. Most seasoned travelers carry a symbol of the star wheel on their person, a sign of both Tryan and his wife.
Tryan and Eiko are often interchangeable as the trickier in the cycle of myths popular with the sailors of Chell, as well as being depicted as tickey pair often being the source of the conflict with Tryan being the more benene one.
