Alfur

Welcome to a mysterious, ancient, and strange place. This is Alfur; a nation molded by the crippling stresses of invasion and warfare, deep set in traditions, and home to strange and odd creatures, places, and cultures. You might expect a people capable of getting into space to reach for any stars in sight...but that is not the case with this one. They are fully content with maintaining and being comfortably safe in their small fortress system. The ancient days of invasions have long past, and true, their influences will last for the rest of Alfur's existence. However the nation has settled into a comfortably stable bliss. With a stable home, some Alfurians choose to explore the distant voids, though usually just for curiosity's sake.   Though their technology was originally oriented for desperate times of war, new generations of Alfurians have found it useful for a wide range of uses. On large vehicles that serve as miniature worlds of their own, these creatures are able to use their unique and strange technology to explore in the distance while also keeping a never-ending guard on their homeland.    While cultures, history, and well practiced traditions stay rooted in almost all parts of Alfur, some other aspects change rapidly. The ever advancing technology of these beings allow them to, when desired, travel even to other dimensions once thought out of reach. Always careful with each step, they are able to cast themselves into vast and unimaginable distances. The nation really is a mix of secure homeland and outreaching curiosity.
