Her name is Maja and she has been an intern at science department at Seegson Corporation for a while now. Serving coffee and cleaning lab equipment was her main task until she finally got her first assignment (here the mission of our ship). She has never been on a space ship, never held a gun, never smoked, tasted alcohol and probably never had sex. She really really wants to make a good impression on the crew, prove herself for the Corporation and finally get promoted!
