Summary

Goldie aims to be liked by everyone while staying under the radar of the higher ups. He doesn't talk much about his past, but often looks out portholes and to the alien horizon in quiet recollection. He takes to singing traditional songs of the American South and Appalachia, as well as old ballads from the British Isles. He has tucked away a handful of instruments he plays (banjo, harmonica). Why Goldie has joined the mission isn't clear, but he is here all the same, and generally a welcome addition.
