Farin-Yas Loxodon

The Farin-Yas Loxodons live in small communities centered around oasis in the White Wasteland. They have skin that is light to dark brown, the males have longer tusks than average, and some are born with an uncanny ability to heal.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Farin-Yas Loxodon feel the loss of one of their members very deeply. The death of a member is marked by a week long intermittent fast, meditation, and funderal chants.

Courtship Ideals

It is not expected that individuals will seek out partners until they are well into their 60s. When an individual feels the need to either start a family or wants a closer partnership with another they will make a pilgrimage to the holy site. At this site individuals spend time meditating and connecting with their heritage, it is common that they will end the pilgrimage with a partner.

Relationship Ideals

Farin-Yas Loxodon seek out partners that are on the same wavelength as them. It is extremely important for partners to be in harmony with each other. Harmony may look different for each partnership but individuals seek out partners who will give the relationship predictable patterns. A symbiotic push and pull. This doesn't mean that partnerships don't have conflict, instead the conflict is productive and the partners return to harmony relatively quickly.
