Session 11: The Necromancer Tower part 2

General Summary

Just before our heroes went into the caller, they heard a sound outside. It was Solto! Without filling him in with what happened in the rest of the tower, they all went down into the cellar. Our heroes found themselves in an earthen room with a bookcase and various crates and barrels. After pulling all of the books off the bookcase, Rorick did a really good investigation and found a magical book in one of the crates, he also found the lever to open the bookcase. The book was a thick textbook and when it was touched it revealed its true form as a mimic.   After killing the mimic our heroes opened the bookcase, through a tunnel, they came to a fork in the road. On the left they could see some treasure but it was protected by a barrier. On the right they found zombies guarding a necromancer who was performing a ritual on some dragon bones. Our heroes fought and killed all the zombies and the necromancer. But wait! What if she knows something about Rorick's brother? Maybe they should revive her and question her. A while ago Daeran had found an ancient potion that had evaporated to dust, he mixed in some water and poured it down her throat. She did not know of the specific caravan Evian was with but she did speak of Kalral and his influence over the regions necromancers. Rorick and Solto decided to loot the dragon bones. Zanril tried to smash the orb, failed, Kaylin came in and smashed it. Our heroes made it into the treasure room and divvied up the goods. They decided to take the necromancer back to Clearfort as proof that they destroyed the tower. They made it out just in time, as the hourglass dropped its last piece of sand, the tower collapsed in on itself.   Our heroes traveled back to Clearfort with their necromancer. They found and confronted the city council member and handed the necromancer over to him. He was flustered and gave them his purse of gold. They made their way to the local tavern, divvied up the gold. They told the innkeeper to send the bill to Johnathan (the city council member) and started drinking and celebrating. Daeran gave Solto the Ring of Control Ant. Solto spent some time discovering what the ring does.   Solto asked the innkeeper to find him a bard for hire to compose and sing songs about the party. Kaylin wants to look around the town for shops that sell arrows. Zanril wants to ask around town to see if anyone has heard of the swamp. Rorick would like to shop around for spell supplies. Solto and Rorick sold the dragon bones. Our heroes decided to head to Black Crystal in the morning to restock before their next adventure.
